Dear Friend of FLAME:

As you know from reading these FLAME Hotline emails, I get very upset when I see some of the vicious—even murderous—strategies Israel’s enemies are using to delegitimize and ultimately destroy the Jewish state. I know you do, too.

On the other hand, in the face of all this, I continue to feel inspired by Israel’s amazing accomplishments—in technology, medicine, education, agriculture and the arts. I’m also excited about the many victories we pro-Israel advocates have achieved lately in defeating anti-Semites.

Here’s the irony: No matter how many battles against anti-Semitism—and its ugly sister, anti-Zionism—that we win, it’s likely we will never eliminate these scourges. Just as we are blessed by the powerful, uplifting legacy of Judaism and the miracle of Israel, so we are saddled with the never-ending task of defending the Jewish state against hateful bigots.

In my decades of fighting for Israel I’ve come to embrace this irony and this challenge. That which doesn’t kill me makes me stronger. We at FLAME are energized for this fight and will continue the struggle as long as it takes.

But indignation and anger, inspiration and excitement only go so far in this epic battle. In order to keep scoring victories against jihadists who want to kill Jews and against home-grown “militants” who want to make Israel disappear, we need financial support.

Did you see that just last week the United Nations General Assembly passed a resolution demanding that Israel return the Golan Heights—some 50 years since winning it in a defensive war against the attacking Arabs—to Syria! To Syria, which is burning, which is “governed” by the corrupt dictator Assad, which is a hollow shell kept standing only by foreign interlopers like Russia and Iran!

It’s hard to keep pace with the many outrageous affronts committed by the United Nations against Israel, but we at FLAME try. Hence our recent editorial hasbarah—U.N. School for Terrorism—published in some 45 publications nationwide, exposed U.N.-sponsored schools that teach Palestinian children to hate Jews and wage bloody jihad against them.
