December 22, 2015 Your last chance to help Israel in 2015.
Dear Friend of FLAME: If I forget thee, Jerusalem, let my right hand forget her cunning. I'm hoping in this holiday season, as the year turns and we reflect on everything that is dear to us, that you will not forget Israel.
Both Jews and Christians have suffered, struggled and ultimately survived in this once barren desert that is now a thriving Israel. Likewise, both groups have seen amazing miracles spring from this place: For Christians it was the birth of Jesus, their Savior; for Jews it was the birth of the state of Israel, also a savior. No wonder so many in both groups feel such a powerful, soulful attachment to Eretz Yisrael, the land of Israel.
Indeed, 2015 gave us the Iran Nuclear Deal, the "knife intifada," several academic votes in favor boycotting Israeli universities, a pernicious move by the EU to label Israeli goods from the disputed territories, more Hamas rockets from Gaza, and the constant bashing Israel receives every year from influential news organizations like the New York Times, MSNBC and BBC. As you know, Israel's survival depends on what people think of the Jewish nation—how Israel is perceived—especially here in the United States. That's why I want to ask once more in these waning days of 2015 for your financial support. I urge you to visit our donation page now. Israel's public image affects how much money is sent by the world's nations to prop up (and arm) the Palestinians, how Israel is treated (or mistreated) in the United Nations, how Iran, Israel's greatest enemy, is dealt with internationally, and how much financial aid is extended to Israel by the U.S. Yes, so much depends on how people think and feel about Israel: We are fighting the consummate public relations war, particularly when it comes to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Yet how many times have you heard it said that Israel does a poor job of public relations?
• First, it's especially critical now, that Americans understand that the jihadi attackers in Paris and San Bernardino and the terrorists attacking innocent civilians on the streets of Jerusalem and throughout Israel are motivated by the same bloodthirsty ideology—a radical Islam that seeks to kill infidels, expel them from "Muslim lands" and create a worldwide caliphate. • Second, we must convince the world that it is Palestinian leaders who are responsible for the suffering of the Palestinian people—not Israel. Israel wants peace and has made innumerable offers, compromises and sacrifices to achieve peace.
• The third great PR challenge we face—both Israel and the U.S.—is Iran's nuclear threat. There are many who naively believe that the Mr. Obama's Iran Deal will solve the problem. But Iran has yet to meet its obligations under the agreement and, in stark violation of a U.N. Security Council resolution, has begun testing medium-range ballistic missiles capable of delivering nuclear bombs against Europe and Israel.
We simply cannot let the Palestinians or Iran win this public relations war in the coming year. My friends, it is up to us to make sure Israel's true story is told. Won't you take two minutes right now to do your part to help Israel . . . and help FLAME continue its outspoken hasbarah—clarifying message—campaign to the American public and Congress? Won't you please become a FLAME member by visiting our donation page now?
What's more, the majority of FLAME's funding goes directly to running editorial ads in mass media that reach more than 10 million people every month, including tens of thousands of college students. We also personally deliver these messages to the President, Vice President and every U.S. Senator and Representative. Most importantly, please remember that the overwhelming majority of FLAME's financial support comes from individuals just like you. One by one, Jews, Christians and unaffiliated alike contribute generously to this noble cause—to help ensure that Israel survives. So whether you give $1,000 or $500 or $100 . . . or even $54 or $36 or $18—every donation is important—every dollar you contribute helps us keep telling the truth about the inspiring Jewish nation. Best of all, of course, your donation is tax-deductible. Won't you make your donation and join us as a member? Just go to donate now. Thanks in advance for your year-end generosity and your continued support of FLAME's good work. Best regards, Jim Sinkinson
