Iran's Death Threats Have Reached a Critical Stage: It's Time to Act!

Dear Friend of FLAME:

The papers report every day about the preparations that Iran is making in its quest for nuclear weapons. The only uncertainty is how long it will be before they have them in their hands. Some say it's only six months away, others say that we have as much as six years. Nobody really knows. But one thing is for sure: The day they have this capability, the very minute, and without further ado, they'll attack and attempt to destroy Israel. With their missiles, which even now can reach any point in Europe, they'll hold the European powers in check. Just as the suicide bombers don't care about dying, so do the Iranian mullahs not worry about losing as many as ten million of their own people in an inevitable Israeli retaliation, just as long as they can strike that hoped-for death blow at Israel---the "little Satan."

Joseph Farah, is one of the most insightful observers of the Middle East. We have previously featured his comments on this Hotline. His brief, easy-to-read---but starkly frightening---remarks about Iran and the enormous danger that the U.S., Israel and the entire world face are worthy of your fullest, immediate attention.

Best Regards,

Gerardo Joffe

P.S.   We at FLAME believe that Iran poses the single greatest threat to world peace---and certainly to the existence of Israel. To review one of our many public relations messages on this subject, which we recently published in media with more than three million readers, please go to http://www.factsandlogic.org/ad_92.html. I hope you'll agree that the threat of Iran to Israel and the U.S. deserves the urgent attention of Americans, and especially our elected representatives. If you can help us continue publishing these critical messages, please go to http://www.factsandlogic.org/make_a_donation.html and make a donation, however modest. As Farah's article below makes clear, now is the time to act!

Stop Iran
By Joseph Farah, January 17, 2006, WorldNetDaily.com

I don't know how to put this any more succinctly or pointedly: The United States needs to do something to stop the terrorist mullah regime in Iran from becoming a nuclear bomb-producing machine in the next 12 weeks.

Time is running out.

The debating society exercises are getting tired.

The diplomatic games have all run their course.

Some time in March, Iran will be beyond the point of no return in its efforts to become a nuclear power.

The consequences of this development are almost beyond imagination.

Let's put it this way: Evil people run Iran — people who still call us "the Great Satan," 25 years after they released the last 52 American hostages held for 444 days in our own Embassy.

The president today, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, was the ringleader of the Islamic thugs who took the hostages and tormented them under the direction of Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeni. He's even wackier today than he was back then.

Two weeks ago, my G2 Bulletin intelligence newsletter broke the story of what motivates Ahmadinejad — a desire to bring about the end of the world and the return of the Shiite Muslim messiah known as the "mahdi."

Ahmadinejad has, in recent weeks, called for wiping Israel off the face of the Earth, suggested moving the Jewish state to Europe, denied the Holocaust ever happened and claimed God wrapped him in a mystical aura when he addressed world leaders at the United Nations.

This is not just some fruitcake we can dismiss. This is a fruitcake who will soon have his finger on the nuclear trigger.

And it's not just a danger to Israel. As my G2 Bulletin also first reported last year, even before Ahmadinejad won the presidency, his Islamic republic was test-firing Scud missiles from naval ships and detonating them in mid-air. What does that mean? According to the top-level experts in the U.S. military and in the scientific community, it can mean only one thing — Iran has been practicing for a nuclear electro-magnetic pulse attack.

A distinguished commission set up by the U.S. Congress to study the threat of an EMP attack on America took note of Iranian military plans. Tehran's military journals boasted that this was the best way to bring America to its knees. It's cheap. It's technologically easy. And there is even a certain degree of plausible deniability involved.

Iran already has medium-range missiles capable of carrying nuclear warheads into Europe. But they won't need them for this kind of an operation. It's actually all very low-tech — and it would have the effect of reducing America to a very low-tech nation, potentially crippling our electrical grid, blowing out computer chips and causing a slow death for millions reliant on modern transportation and communication.

So, tell me: What's the plan?

How are we going to deal with this threat from Iran? It is upon us. It's here. The clock is ticking.

Are we going to leave it up to Israel to protect us and the rest of the world from these madmen?

Or are we going to take decisive and bold action to end the threat?

The time for talk is over.

Now is the time for finalizing military plans — either unilaterally or with our allies.

We must do whatever is necessary to prevent Iran from going nuclear. This is one regime that doesn't want nuclear weapons for status in the world. It wants them because it plans to use them. Its clerics have openly suggested Muslims need to be willing to accept the inevitable losses and damages that come with such an attack because it will mean the end of Israel and, in the case of an EMP attack on America, the reduction of "the Great Satan" to a third-rate power.

This is not a crisis for the United Nations. It's a crisis for determined U.S. leadership bound by the Constitution to defend and protect Americans.
